Titles to be decided in New Zealand as Monochrome GT4 Australia announces entry list
October 27th 2025

The entry list for the 2025 Monochrome GT4 Australia season finale has been released with a strong field of 25 cars set to do battle across the Tasman Sea at the Alliance Services Hampton Downs International, the opening round of the Repco NextGen NZ Championship.

While the final round of the record-breaking 2025 season sees all three class titles still up in the air and the fight likely to go to the final laps on Sunday, it will also see the debut of a handful of crews spread across Australia and New Zealand in most classes.

The majority of new entries locked in for maiden appearances in the series are Silver-Am entrants where they make up almost half of the 10-car class – the highest profile being that of Kiwi veterans Greg Murphy and Grant Aitken in the field’s sole Audi R8 LMS GT4.

The Silver-Am class will also welcome another trio of intriguing new arrivals with Caleb Paterson and Kent Quinn in the Norganic Protein Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 MR CS and a pair of Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2s piloted by Tayler Bryant and Jeremy Gray for JMG Racing and Racelab's Shaun Varney and Glen Chappel.

A third Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2 in the class belongs to the never-aging Tony Quinn, with the popular Scotsman to have a new face alongside for the fourth time this year with the highly experienced Daniel Gaunt.

Although there will be plenty of intrigue surrounding the new entries in the class, all eyes will be on the mouth-watering battle for class honours involving series leader Aaron Seton and Jason Gomersall in the Gomersall Motorsport and fellow Ford Mustang GT4 title contenders Cameron Crick and Dean Campbell, who are split by just 23 points.

In third place for the class GWR’s Daniel Frougas and Tim Berryman in a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2, who sit 44 points adrift the leaders and with an outside chance of the title, while Tufflift Racing TSM’s Zac Soutar and Glenn Nirwan in the McLaren Artura GT4 round out the class.

The Am Cup with 10 cars has a trio of new entries, a returning BMW and a host of fan favourites who will do battle at Hampton Downs.

Leading the way for the class is leader Jacob Lawrence in the Randall Racing BMW M4 GT4 G82, and the 2024 champion is in the box seat to go back-to-back courtesy of a comfortable 42-point lead over title rivals Chris Lillis and Nathan Callaghan in the Method Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS.

Lawrence will have a strong support system in his bid for a second title with the team back to a three-car line-up as Peter Lawrence in the team’s second BMW M4 GT4 G82 will be joined by the returning Lib and Sue Palermo, who make their first appearance since GT Festival Sydney.

There are four regular entries for the class making the journey to New Zealand including the 99motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 of Marcus LaDelle and Jarrod Keyte, the Love Racing TSM Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Bailey Love and Rob Love, as well as the BMW M4s of Gomersall Motorsport's Glenn Walker and McElrea Racing's Jay and Nathan Murray.

Joining Monochrome GT4 Australia for the first time will be a trio of new entries all making their debut in the category including Method Motorsport’s Ryan Sorensen, who makes his return to GT racing in the McLaren Artura GT4 after the Bathurst 12 Hour earlier this year.

There will be two local entries looking to take on the James Sax of Mach 1 Engineering, who will be running in the Mercedes-AMG GT4 and Allan Sargeant in the second Racelab Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2.

The five-car Silver Cup is made up of solely regular crews with the two title contenders headlining the field with McLaren Artura GT4 drivers Tom Hayman and Max Geoghegan of Method Motorsport holding a slender seven-point lead over Miedecke Motorsport with Lubrimaxx’s George Miedecke and Rylan Gray.

JGI Triple Eight Racing's Summer Rintoule and Jarrod Hughes may be just out of reach for the title but a good weekend and major misfortune to the Ford Mustang GT4 of Miedecke and Gray could well and truly elevate them to second place for the season.

Like the Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Rintoule and Hughes, TekworkX Motorsport / ZW Racing's Nash Morris and Zoe Woods also fell out of contention at the penultimate round in South Australia, however the pair will want to finish high as they look to guide their Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS to their first win of the year.

The final entry of the class in Gomersall Motorsport's Jake Camilleri will also be looking to finish strong after a rollercoaster season and pick up another win in the Ford Mustang GT4.

While all debutants in the season finale will be eligible to compete for race wins and podium finishes, they will not be eligible to score points in the overall series standings under the Monochrome GT4 Australia Series Sporting Regulations, meaning the points determining the title fights will be unaffected by the new entries.

Monochrome GT4 Australia will run its usual race format in New Zealand with Practice 1 and Pre-Qualifying to take place on Friday, a Double Qualifying session on Saturday morning before Race 1 in the afternoon. The series will then wrap up the 2025 season with Race 2 on Sunday morning.

Coverage of the opening round of the Repco NextGen NZ Championship will be broadcast live in New Zealand on Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now.

Tickets for GT Festival Hampton Downs, which doubles as the opening round of the Repco NextGen NZ Championship, are available for purchase via nextgennz.co.nz, while Australian fans who can’t make it to the event can watch via Saturday and Sunday’s Qualifying and races live and free on 7plus, Fox Sports and Kayo.
