Summerset GT New Zealand Championship

An Exciting New Chapter Awaits the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship in 2026/27!

This season will see a number of changes to the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship, headlined by a revised four-class structure and an expanded race format designed to deliver even more racing across the season.

Bringing GT3 and GT4 machinery together on the same grid, the Championship will once again serve up an incredible mix of cars from some of the world’s biggest manufacturers, combining close competition and plenty of variety every time the field hits the track.

Four Classes. One Championship.

Porsche Endurance Trophy Class – Built around multiple generations of the iconic Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, the Porsche Class puts outright pace and driver skill at the heart of the action.

GT4 Silver, Silver-Am & Am – Featuring globally renowned manufacturers including McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Toyota, the GT4 field will take on a new three-class structure this season, giving drivers even more to fight for throughout the Championship.

Four races across each Sprint weekend will ensure there is never a dull moment, with two 20-minute races delivering short, sharp battles before the two 45-minute races bring strategy into play with a Compulsory Pit Stop.

Across four rounds of the Repco NextGen NZ Championship, the GT field will take on some of New Zealand’s best circuits, stretching from Hampton Downs in the Waikato to Teretonga Park in the Deep South.

With an incredible variety of machinery and plenty of talented drivers ready to do battle, every round promises the kind of fast, hard-fought racing that has made GT competition such a spectacle.

So get ready, because the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship is back, and there is plenty to look forward to when the lights go out this summer.
